Valley Medical Centre is open from 8.30am to 6.00pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and from 8.30am to 12.30pm on Thursdays.

Morning Surgery

This practice has open surgery between 9.00am - 10.30am each weekday morning. Doors open 8.30am. The doctors are usually available at each morning surgery, but please call to see that the doctor of your choice is available that morning. The surgery encourages continuity of care.

Evening Surgery

We operate an appointment system every evening from 4pm – 6pm except Thursday when the practice closes at 1pm.

To see the nurse

All nurse clinics are by appointment only. We have Practice Nurse and District Nurse Clinics each day. Please ring the surgery to make an appointment.

To speak to a doctor

Patients can speak to a doctor by telephone after surgery each morning between 11am and 12 noon. If surgery is ongoing, we may have to ask you to try again a little later.

To speak to a nurse

Patients can speak to a Practice Nurse by telephone after surgery each morning between 12 noon and 1 pm. If clinics are ongoing, we may have to ask you to try again a little later.

Home Visits and Emergencies

Requests for home visits should be made only if it is medically impossible for you to attend surgery. Requests should be made before 10.00am. See our Home Visiting guidelines here.

Receptionists are available to help you by telephone on Monday, Tuesday Wednesday & Friday between 8.15am and 6.00pm, & Thursday between 8.15am and 1pm. Receptionists are available to help you face to face during surgery hours.
